Investigating the prison murder of Whirlwind, Jan visits The Raft and learns that five other supervillain inmates have also been killed. She is shocked when the corpses come back to life and attack her, but Whirlwind's body has transformed into a different person who helps her subdue the others. He introduces himself as Victor Shade, which she recognizes as being a former alias of the Vision. She has him released in her custody and they decide to work together on superhuman investigations.
