Avengers Fairy Tales #4

The final chapter of this 2008 Marvel limited series arrives with a cover by Claire Wendling that feels like a storybook illustration come to life — a wide-eyed young woman perches atop a great stone-gray lion, the two of them poised above a shimmering rainbow as decorative floral vines frame the scene. It's a genuinely lovely image, soft and slightly dreamlike, perfectly suited to the series' fairy-tale sensibility. Writer C. B. Cebulski and artist Ricardo Tércio bring their Avengers-meets-enchantment reimagining to its conclusion with this fourth and final issue.
