Avengers: Celestial Quest #4

Issue four of eight in this 2002 Marvel limited series finds the Avengers hurtling through a star-filled cosmos, a colorful team of heroes tumbling against a backdrop of planets, asteroids, and a piercing beam of light. Looming large above them all is a grimly determined silver-haired figure, his scarred, weathered face dominating the upper half of the cover — a stark visual contrast to the kinetic energy of the assembled heroes below. Writer Steve Englehart and cover artists Jorge Santamaría and Scott Hanna frame this "War!"-titled chapter with a real sense of cosmic stakes and urgency.
