Avengers Assemble #13

This unsettling Marvel NOW! issue puts the horror front and center: a red-haired woman's face is grotesquely split between human and reptilian, with a slit yellow eye, scaly green flesh, and clawed fingers pressed against her cheek in a deeply creepy tableau. The cover art by Nic Klein is genuinely arresting — equal parts body-horror and superhero unease, the kind of image that stops you cold in the comics rack. Kelly Sue DeConnick leads the creative team alongside artists Pete Woods and Mark Bagley, inker Scott Hanna keeping things sharp throughout.
