Part of Jonathan Hickman's ambitious Marvel NOW! relaunch, Avengers #2 continues the series with a cover by Dustin Weaver that puts Thor front and center — winged helmet gleaming, hand raised, a cracked molten figure erupting behind him. Black Widow crouches in the foreground, pistol in hand, while a caped figure soars through the industrial chaos above them all. With Jerome Opeña on interior art and Dean White among the colorists, this is a creative team clearly swinging for something expansive with "We Were Avengers.
