Captain Avalon and his heroes prepare a sneak attack on Dreadkeep but are betrayal by Idol. The heroes battle villains and Avalon hunts the castle for his son. He saves the boy from Dreadlord but is unable to prevent him from using the Orb of Truth to travel back in time. Captain Avalon leaves his shield for his son and follows Dreadlord back in time. Prester John records all of these exploits as part of the young prince's legacy in preparation for the day he will take his father's place. The cosmic beings watching decide to let the world of Eurth continue to exist.
