Au travail #2

The second volume of Olivier Josso Hamel's Au travail arrives from L'Association with a cover that's hard to look away from — a massive, writhing green creature composed entirely of tangled tentacles and organic forms, its towering silhouette framed against a warm orange background dotted with stars and small scattered objects. There's something delightfully unsettling about the puzzle-piece motif embedded in its mass, hinting at themes of labor, construction, and the strange machinery of everyday life. A wonderfully weird 2016 entry from one of French alternative comics' most distinctive voices.
