A sergeant leads three American soldiers on a critical World War II mission behind enemy lines, but discovers they are actually enemy infiltrators posing as Americans to sabotage the operation. The story follows the sergeant's realization of the deception and the subsequent conflict as he works to stop the infiltrators from compromising the mission, ultimately emphasizing that despite their uniforms and disguises, these earnest American servicemen are doing their duty to fight the war.
