This anthology issue contains two war stories. "Suicide Mission" follows GI Jones and his fellow soldiers on a dangerous mission involving a helicopter door mechanism, which they successfully complete and for which Jones receives a commendation and promotion to sergeant. "The Lieutenant Is Chicken" depicts a newly-arrived replacement officer fresh from OCS who struggles to earn the respect of his battle-hardened Korean War veterans, initially treating them with disrespect before learning proper military protocol from his men.
