In 1946, reporter Lucky Wings accepts a sealed assignment from her editor that takes her to the island of Nicobar—a dangerous mission involving a sacred ring, tribal politics, and Japanese operatives working on a secret project with only days to complete their work. When Lucky delivers the ring to Alora's brother Daro, she finds herself caught between warring factions: a tribal priestess who believes she's used magic to hide the ring, Japanese agents pursuing their own agenda, and a power struggle within the local tribe that threatens to destroy them all. With the jungle closing in and enemies on every side, Lucky must rely on her wits and resourcefulness to survive and uncover what's really at stake on this mysterious island.
