After a massive atomic explosion shakes the ground beneath a protective tree, the squad faces a gorilla and encounters additional complications as they attempt to complete their mission and retrieve a new war-head, with Vinson coordinating movements via walkie-talkie to salvage the equipment before proceeding with demolition.
In 1952, on Venus, the ambitious Mark Gorman steals a revolutionary atomic-energy discovery from his colleague Dr. Carl Hopkins and uses it to build a devastating weapon—then frames Hopkins for the crime. When Gorman's scheme threatens Earth itself with bombardment, a space patrol pilot named Craig and Hopkins's sister Gail race to expose the deception and stop the weapon before Gorman can force the planet's surrender. It's a race against time across the solar system to dismantle a madman's plot and restore justice.
Airforce Lt. John Wilkins finds himself in dire straits when his plane is shot down over North Korea and he parachutes directly into enemy hands. His fellow pilots spot his predicament and devise a daring plan to distract the enemy forces while a helicopter moves in for an audacious rescue attempt. With timing and nerve on their side, Wilkins must hold out just long enough for salvation to arrive.
Sergeant Hal MacAvoy and his bomb disposal unit are deep in enemy territory to neutralize an unexploded blockbuster—but when they discover it's a new warhead worth salvaging, the mission takes a dangerous turn. As MacAvoy attempts the delicate work of detaching it, enemy snipers and an artillery barrage threaten to trap the men at the bomb site, forcing quick thinking and sacrifice to complete the job. It's a tense race against time where one soldier's decision could mean the difference between bringing home valuable intelligence or never making it back at all.
