The broader Fantagraphics Atlas Comics Library project was formally announced on April 26, 2023, as a collaborative licensing arrangement between Fantagraphics and Marvel, with the series edited throughout by Atlas historian Dr. Michael J. Vassallo — a Manhattan dentist and Timely/Atlas specialist who had previously written introductions to more than twenty Marvel Masterworks volumes and contributed historical captions to Taschen's 75 Years of Marvel. Each volume in the series is scanned directly from the original published comics and then meticulously restored by Allan Harvey, a production approach designed to present the original dot-gain and coloring as faithfully as possible rather than recoloring the art. Volume 6, subtitled Shiver As You Read!, was released as a 304-page hardcover on September 30, 2025, collecting Amazing Detective Cases #11–14 (beginning with the March 1952 issue) and Men's Adventures #21–26 (through the March 1954 issue), with the original scripts credited to writers including Stan Lee, Bill Everett, Hank Chapman, Carl Wessler, Clayton Martin, and Burt Frohman.
