Astronauts in Trouble #5

Issue five of eleven in this Image series brings the "Live from the Moon" story into its second chapter, with a cover by Charlie Adlard that centers on a sleek, domed spacecraft hanging against a deep star-field, a luminous moon glowing behind it. A strip of small inset panels runs along the bottom, offering glimpses of characters and action rendered in crisp black-and-white detail. As Amazing Stories put it at the time, the series captures "the speed and feel of classic science fiction movies of the 50's, with the twist of a Mickey Spillane mystery" — and this 2015 installment looks every bit the part.
