“Blueprints of Tomorrow”

In "Blueprints of Tomorrow," Argosy Smith's 25th birthday becomes the unlikely catalyst for a cosmic trial when he's selected as the champion of his reality by the enigmatic Bezeletredad. Written and illustrated entirely by Steve Conley, this Image Comics special plunges Argosy into a surreal gauntlet of alternate versions of iconic figures—first a pseudo Batman, then a pseudo Hulk—before confronting a pseudo Superman at the finish line. The cover, also by Steve Conley, captures the moment of tension as Argosy stands on the threshold of reshaping existence itself.
