From Atlas Comics' monthly anthology of supernatural chills comes Astonishing #14, dated June 1952. The cover, penciled by Sol Brodsky and inked by Chris Rule, conjures a genuinely unsettling scene: a skull-faced figure in a dark cloak reads from an open book by candlelight on a rooftop ledge, while a screaming man in a suit tumbles helplessly overhead and a horrified woman in red looks on against a city skyline backdrop.
