Asterix #31
This volume collects the 31st album in the Asterix series, originally serialized in 2001. The story follows Asterix and Obelix as they travel to Hispania to retrieve a set of magical swords, while their mothers visit the Gaulish village and cause unexpected chaos. Created by Albert Uderzo, this is the first Asterix album published by Éditions Albert René after the death of co-creator René Goscinny.
When Asterix and Obelix unwittingly wind up with a sword and helmet belonging to Pompey, Pompey supporter Bogus Genius plots to get them back by having famed actress Latraviata masquerade as Panacea. Panacea and Tragicomix help Asterix and Obelix uncover the plot. Julius Caesar rewards Asterix, but Asterix uses the reward to boost Latraviata's career, and the Gauls celebrate with a banquet.
