Tied into Marvel's 2019 War of the Realms event, this issue places the Asgardians of the Galaxy squarely at the heart of the conflict. Gerardo Sandoval's cover pulls you in close — a gleaming sword divides the image between a grinning blue-skinned villain and a battle-worn blond warrior in Asgardian armor, while a red-haired woman in glasses peers out from between the blade's reflection, caught in the middle of whatever's about to unfold. With Cullen Bunn writing and Paolo Villanelli and Federico Blee bringing the interior to life, this ninth issue promises the kind of mythic cosmic tension the series does so well.
