Grace, Joan and Dexter star in a play ('Midnight') where Grace discovers after a party that Dexter has been having an affair with Joan and shoots him. Dexter and Joan don't realize that Grace suspects them of having an affair in real life and wants vengeance. Grace has overheard them speaking of keeping a secret from her. But their secret meetings are related to a surprise wedding present Dexter is planning to buy for Grace - a special chalet designed by Joan's architect father. After the 100th performance of the play, Grace invites them to her house for a party.
