The collection reproduces key pages and covers as they were drawn, without lettering or color, offering a rare behind-the-scenes look at Romita's dynamic storytelling and character design.
In "To Squash a Spider!", Peter Parker is all in for the $5,000 reward, setting out to capture the elusive Schemer—only to find the chase is far more complicated than expected. With John Romita’s dynamic pencils and Jim Mooney’s sharp inks bringing the action to life, the story unfolds as Spider-Man tracks Schemer to the Kingpin’s mansion, where a tense standoff with Vanessa and a sudden disappearance leave everything hanging. The cover by Romita and Mooney captures the moment perfectly, and this 2021 IDW Artisan Edition is a must-have for fans of classic Spider-Man storytelling.
