Army of Darkness #11

Ash Williams looks decidedly worse for wear on this cover, restrained by two powerfully built warriors in golden armor as a menacing skeletal deity looms atop a blood-soaked stone structure behind them — lightning crackling across a storm-darkened sky for good measure. His mechanical hand is visible at the wrist, a quiet reminder that this is still the same chainsaw-armed everyman even when things go very, very wrong. Dynamite's 2013 run continues to find inventive ways to put Ash at the center of ancient, otherworldly trouble, and issue #11 promises no shortage of dread-soaked atmosphere.
