This closing chapter of DC's 2003 miniseries wraps up with a cover by Eric Powell that is genuinely unsettling: a screaming man's face fills the frame while a small, red-eyed demon in a blue cape perches menacingly on top of his head, clutching his scalp with clawed hands against a blood-red sky. It's a visceral image that captures the series' premise perfectly — that Arkham Asylum isn't just a place for the criminally insane, but something far more literally hellish. Dan Slott, Ryan Sook, and Wade von Grawbadger bring "Rhyme & Reason" home in what looks to be a fittingly nightmarish finale.
