Five determined figures stride forward against a sky consumed by fire and smoke, silhouetted rooftops burning behind them — a top-hatted gentleman, a young man in overalls clutching a chainsaw, a suited central figure, a rifle-bearing companion in a wide-brimmed hat, and a young woman in period dress. Joël Parnotte's cover art for this 2020 Dargaud Benelux release bathes the entire scene in a brooding amber and black palette that gives the ensemble an almost gothic, otherworldly weight. Xavier Dorison and Parnotte's Aristophania continues with "De Aurorabron," and this third chapter promises the same atmospheric tension that makes the series so compelling.
