Emmanuel Guibert and Marc Boutavant's beloved series of funny-animal slice-of-life comics returns with Ce nigaud d'agneau, and the cover sets the cheerful tone perfectly. Against a bright yellow background, a wide-eyed lamb character gets an enthusiastic — and rather forceful — candle-blowing from Ariol (donkey ears, red cape, birthday cake in hand), while Ariol's blue-eared friend and a small owl with oversized pink glasses look on with delighted curiosity. It's the kind of warm, chaotic kid-energy that has made Ariol such a joy for younger readers and their grown-ups alike since the series began.
