A lively Franco-Belgian adventure unfolds on this cover as Ariane and Nicolas find themselves surrounded by a squad of chunky, somewhat baffled-looking robots — while the two kids themselves appear to be tumbling through a mysterious dark portal in the wall. Paul Roux's clean, energetic ligne claire style gives the whole scene a wonderfully chaotic charm, balancing humor and peril in equal measure. A fine 1998 entry in this kid-friendly series from Éditions Mille-Îles that promises plenty of mechanical mayhem and wide-eyed wonder.
