In "Le secret du crocodile d'or," Major Dennis, Danny, and Rex journey through Africa in search of a legendary golden crocodile, chasing myths through dusty plains and wild terrain. When their adventure takes a wild turn—facing crocodiles, lions, and stampeding elephants—they stumble upon a hidden treasure trove crowned with a life-sized golden crocodile statue. Written by Bob Haney and brought to vivid life by Gil Kane with inks by Bernard Sachs, this issue captures the thrill of the hunt with a touch of humor. The cover, by Joaquin Chacopino Fabre, perfectly captures the moment of discovery.

Major Dennis, Danny, and Rex search Africa for a rumored "golden crocodile". Danny is disappointed in skyscrapers and jeeps and wishes to see "darkest Africa". Setting out with Rex, they are attacked by a crocodile, trapped between it and a lion, and flop atop stampeding elephants before tumbling into a treasure trove with a crocodile statue of solid gold! Staggering into camp, Major Dennis admits maybe Africa is tamed and the golden crocodile a myth. And Rex and Danny collapse laughing!
