Archie's Pals 'n' Gals #102
☆ Be the first to review + Add to your collection — Join freeThe gang takes the gridiron in this cheerful 1976 entry in the long-running Archie's Pals 'n' Gals series, and the cover asks the burning question: "Is girl football any different from boy football?" — to which the answer, apparently, is "Only during the time outs!" Betty suits up in her number 17 jersey while Veronica touches up her makeup at a flower-skirted vanity table right on the sidelines, as Archie and Jughead look on and Midge appears in the foreground in full football gear. It's a genuinely fun snapshot of Riverdale humor at its most lighthearted, with the whole ensemble making the most of game day in their own very particular way.
