“The Statue”

In "The Statue," Jughead stumbles upon an ancient Egyptian statue at the museum and—true to form—brings it to life with a bit of curiosity and a lot of grease. What follows is a delightfully absurd chain of events as the newly animated statue, clad in what can only be described as museum-accurate ancient garb, tries (and fails) to intimidate Betty and Veronica, only to finally scare Midge—until Moose steps in with a single, decisive punch. Samm Schwartz’s distinctive art brings the whole chaotic, humorous escapade to life, from the statue’s awkward movements to the exaggerated expressions of the gang.
