Archie's Joke Book Magazine #57

The gag lands perfectly right on the cover of this September 1961 issue: Veronica, elegantly dressed in red and admiring herself in a compact mirror, asks her father who's at the door — and the answer is hilariously visible to everyone but her, as a towering basketball player in a Riverdale varsity sweater fills the entire doorframe, head completely out of sight above the top of the door. Mr. Lodge's amused reply says it all, making this one of those Archie covers where the punchline is fully delivered before you've even opened the book.
