This October 1973 issue of Archie's Laugh-Out Joke Book Magazine delivers its punchline right on the cover: a two-panel gag showing Archie, Betty, and Veronica pedaling hard on bicycles, complaining about being tired and eager to reach "Archie's new boat" — only for the bottom panel to reveal that the boat in question is an "Ace Paddleboat Co." pedal-powered vessel, leaving them no rest at all. It's the kind of cheerful, groan-worthy visual joke that made this long-running Archie series such a staple of spinner racks, and at just 20 cents it promised a full magazine of similarly good-natured humor.
