Archie's Girls Betty and Veronica #4

Issue #4 of this cheerful 1951 Archie Series title finds Betty and Veronica very much in charge, as Bill Vigoda's cover illustration shows the two grinning girlfriends sculpting clay busts of Archie and a decidedly less flattering Reggie. Their rhyming speech bubbles — "Boys are like clay, they do as we say" and "Reggie's a bust, but Archie's a must" — perfectly capture the playful, girl-power spirit that made this series such a delight.
