Archie Giant Series Magazine #136
☆ Be the first to review + Add to your collection — Join freeThis 1965 giant-format Archie publication puts the spotlight squarely on everyone's favorite hamburger enthusiast, Jughead, in a cover scene that perfectly captures his singular priorities. Penciled by Samm Schwartz, the cover finds Jughead in a clothing store fitting room, reflected in a three-way mirror — each reflection faithfully wearing his trademark crown — simultaneously stuffing his face with hamburgers while a baffled blonde salesgirl looks on. His speech bubble says it all: he's not there for a suit, he just loves the feeling of eating four hamburgers at once, which is honestly a perfectly reasonable explanation by Jughead's standards. With interior work entirely by Joe Edwards, this oversized issue promises a generous helping of the offbeat humor that made Jughead such an endearing character throughout the Archie line.
