Behind them on the sand, the rest of the Riverdale gang relaxes under a striped umbrella, blissfully unaware of the chaos unfolding at the water's edge. Cover pencils by Stan Goldberg and inks by Henry Scarpelli give the whole scene that warm, breezy charm that made these digest collections such reliable summer reading in 1997.
