“Having a Blunder-Full Time”

In "Having a Blunder-Full Time," Jughead's appetite leads to a seaside misadventure when his lunch ends up on a surfboard, sending him drifting while the boys panic and call for the Coast Guard. George Frese's art brings the chaos to life in this 1953 Archie Annual, capturing the classic humor of a sleepy, sun-drenched day gone hilariously wrong.

During a boys' trip to the beach, Jughead eats the entire lunch, so Archie and Reggie set him out to sea on a surfboard while he sleeps. When they return from the refreshment stand, they think Jughead is missing, prompting a Coast Guard search. Unbeknownst to them, the tide drifted Jughead up the beach to Betty and Veronica, and he gives the boys a ghostly scare when he shows up on Archie's doorstep in a white sheet.
