Archie and Me #91

The school cafeteria has never looked this lively — Archie and Me #91 drops Archie, Veronica, and a crowd of Riverdale regulars into a bustling lunch-line scene, where a framed photo of Archie is apparently working wonders as a diet aid (with hilariously mixed reviews). Stan Goldberg's pencils and Rudy Lapick's inks bring the gag to life with terrific energy, from the bald, flustered gentleman in the foreground to the cook dishing out plates in the background. With Joe Edwards writing and drawing the interior story "One Fortunate Cookie," this 1977 issue delivers the kind of cheerful, character-packed comedy that makes Archie and Me such a delight.
