“Chapter Three: Past Repeating”

The tagline says it all — "One Hero. One Villain. One Dead Body." — and this third chapter of Drew Melbourne's four-issue series leans right into it with a graveyard showdown rendered by Yvel Guichet and Joe Rubinstein. The cover centers on a masked figure in a suit lunging forward over a tombstone bearing the name "Vlad Darko," a raven swooping overhead while suited gunmen close in from all sides and a purple-caped figure emerges from the churned earth below. It's a dense, kinetic scene that makes "Past Repeating" feel like exactly the kind of escalation you'd hope for heading into the home stretch of a miniseries.
