In "Hoe Aquaman tot leven kwam!", Aquaman intervenes when the U.S. Navy plans to test atomic depth charges in a remote ocean zone, only to reveal a startling truth: that very location is home to the lost city of Atlantis. As he recounts his origin to Commander Haskel, he tells of his mother Atlanna, an outcast from Atlantis who found refuge with lighthouse keeper Tom Curry, and of the extraordinary gift he inherited as their son, Arthur. With the fate of a hidden civilization hanging in the balance, Aquaman urges the Navy to reconsider their plans.
