With Atlantis now risen to the surface, Mera settles into her new role as queen. Arthur anticipates military action from the United States, and soon discovers the Suicide Squad has been sent in with a mission to use a magical bomb to sink Atlantis, but in reality it is a nuke which will destroy Atlantis. Aquaman and his allies battle the Squad and capture Deadshot and Harley, but Lord Satanis escapes with the rest of the Squad, determined to complete their mission to detonate the bomb.
