Aquablue #1
This volume from Delcourt's 'Collection Conquistador' line collects the early chapters of the French sci-fi series Aquablue, originally launched in 1988. The story follows a young orphan who becomes the key to the future of the ocean planet Aquablue, as its native inhabitants and human colonists clash over resources and survival. This edition presents the foundational arc that established the series' blend of ecological themes and adventure on a water world.
Aquablue #1 (1988) features the story "Nao," written by Thierry Cailleteau and illustrated by Olivier Vatine, who also handled the inking and colorist duties. The cover, credited to Olivier Vatine for both pencils and inks, presents the visual tone of the issue.
