This volume collects the first chapters of the manga series 'Aqua,' a prequel to the beloved 'Aria' series by Kozue Amano. Set on the terraformed planet Mars, now known as Aqua, it follows the early adventures of Akari Mizunashi as she begins her training to become a gondolier in the neo-Venetian city of Neo-Venezia. Tokyopop released this English-language edition in 2007, introducing readers to the serene, slice-of-life world that would later expand in the 'Aria' series.
