Western Bandit Trails is an anthology featuring multiple stories. "Treasure Cache of the Rustler Chief" follows a brave girl who takes on rustlers raiding the Slash B outfit's cattle herds, discovering why these riders want her father's half-sick, worthless stock. The issue also includes a biographical feature on Chief White Wolf, a Lakota leader from Deadwood, South Dakota, who met Buffalo Bill Cody and organized the Wild West Circus, becoming Cody's favorite Indian and guide to early settlers. Additional stories depict various frontier adventures including encounters with outlaws, posse chases, and gunfights across the American West.
