Antarcides #2

The second chapter of Alain Paris and Val's Antarcides brings us deeper into this ancient world with "Achter het Duistere Land" — "Beyond the Dark Land." The cover presents a determined young warrior in Roman-styled armor, sword in hand, standing resolute beneath a billowing green-and-orange banner as stormy skies churn behind him; a second, robed figure holding an ornate staff looms partially visible at the edge, adding an air of quiet menace. Valérian Tamaron's linework and inking give the whole scene a richly atmospheric quality that makes this 2009 Daedalus release a compelling continuation of the series.
