Spinning out of the Spider-Man corner of the Marvel Universe, Annex #1 launches a four-part "Crucible of Power" saga with a cover by Walter McDaniel and Matt Banning that wastes no time establishing this armored powerhouse as a serious force. Annex dominates the image in his striking purple-and-green mechanized suit, red eyes blazing and a crackling energy blast charging in his massive gauntleted fist, as shattered debris explodes outward around him. With writer Jack C. Harris and artist Walter McDaniel on board, this 1994 series looks to give the character a real showcase all his own.
