Yakko, Wakko, and Dot storm across this cover in a wonderfully rendered homage to Toulouse-Lautrec's Belle Époque poster style, chasing — or perhaps being chased by — a crowd of exasperated grown-ups down what looks like a Parisian boulevard. Walter Carzon's pencils and Horacio Ottolini's inks capture the Warner siblings' anarchic energy perfectly against that warm, aged-parchment palette, with a can-can dancer in full skirt swept aside in the chaos. "Dupe Du Jour" promises the Animaniacs' brand of gleeful mayhem transplanted to France, and this 1996 DC issue wears its art-historical wit right on its sleeve.
