Angel + Spike #11

Part of BOOM! Studios' "Ring of Fire" arc, this eleventh issue of Angel + Spike brings together four brooding, determined figures — Angel and Spike prominent among them, flanking a young woman and another companion — rendered in Dan Panosian's moody, rain-streaked cover art drenched in teal and violet. The fragmented, dripping composition gives the ensemble a fractured, tension-filled presence that perfectly suits the Joss Whedon-created world of vampires and consequences. With Bryan Edward Hill writing and Gleb Melnikov on interior art, this is a strong chapter in one of 2020's more compelling supernatural team-up titles.
