Angel: Barbary Coast #[nn]
A brooding, long-haired figure stands on a weathered dock, tall-masted sailing ships looming through a dusky, fire-tinged sky behind him — it's Angel transplanted into the rough-and-tumble world of the historic Barbary Coast. Writer Tischman and artist Urru bring their atmospheric sensibilities to this period setting, with Urru and Mantovani's cover painting the scene in moody sepia tones splashed with crimson. Fans of the vampire with a soul looking for something with a distinctly historical, seafaring edge will find this 2010 IDW release a compelling addition to the Angel comics library.
