This volume collects the fifth adventure in the Asterix series, originally serialized in Pilote. In this story, the Gaulish hero and his friend Obelix travel into Germania to rescue their druid Getafix, who has been kidnapped by a tribe of Goths. The book was first published in English by Brockhampton Press in 1974 as part of their ongoing translation of the classic French comic series by René Goscinny and Albert Uderzo.
