Amber Atoms #3

Issue three of Image's Amber Atoms puts its red-haired heroine front and center, blade in hand and eyes blazing as she squares off against a towering, dark-cloaked figure whose back dominates the foreground. The alien landscape behind her — jagged amber spires rising beneath a vivid blue sky — gives the whole scene a pulpy, science-fantasy energy that feels right at home in 2009's indie comics landscape. Kelly Yates and Michael E. Wiggam deliver a cover that's equal parts tension and adventure, making it hard not to want to know what happens next.
