Amazing Stories of Suspense #150

Jan 1975 · Alan Class · 0.10 GBP
“He Walked Through Walls!”

In "He Walked Through Walls!", Stan Lee and Steve Ditko deliver a chilling tale of ambition and consequence, where a jealous drummer’s desperate wish for fame leads him down a terrifying path. When a gypsy reluctantly grants his request after being threatened, his newfound skill comes at a price he never expected—his ability to play never ends, and neither does the nightmare. The story’s eerie tone is perfectly matched by Jack Kirby’s dynamic cover art, inked by Dick Ayers, making this 1975 Alan Class issue a standout in the series.

A second-string drummer is envious of another member of the band, and so when he hears about a local gypsy, he goes to see her about improving his playing ability. At first, she refuses to help him because she can tell he is asking out of impure motives, but he threatens her with violence and so she casts her spell. At first, he is happy with his new fame as an excellent drummer, until he realizes...that he can never stop.
