☆ Be the first to review + Add to your collection — Join freeThis anthology issue contains multiple stories featuring the superhero Amazing-Man. One story shows Amazing-Man battling giant green creatures marked with Nazi swastikas in an urban setting. Another story, "The Crypt of the Live Corpses" by Duke Carey, involves Police Chief Burk Dolan asking Amazing-Man to solve a kidnapping case of one hundred men within twenty-four hours before false evidence frames the department. A third narrative depicts Amazing-Man discovering a forbidding island with massive cliffs, where a sea serpent emerges and leads him to an underground city hidden within the rocky terrain.
The Shark and his ally Pop must face off against the unearthly Portable-Man once more when the villain—a being who can disassemble himself and cannot be killed—escapes from jail and sets a deadly trap to lure them out. After paralyzing both heroes with an electric gun, the Portable-Man plots to destroy an ammunition train, but the Shark's resourcefulness breaks him free just in time for an underwater rescue. The stage is set for a final confrontation as the Shark corners his elusive foe and refuses to let him slip away again.
