Alvin goes full astronaut on this delightful 1964 Dell cover, showing the mischievous chipmunk floating in a red spacesuit and bubble helmet above the lunar surface, wide-eyed with glee. Below him, a rocket ship and a "Moon" sign set the scene, with two fellow space travelers visible near the ladder. "Space Munks" promises the kind of cheerful, anything-can-happen fun that made this series a staple of early-'60s all-ages comics.
